Résumé Liberté, enthousiasme et partage : telle pourrait être la devise du Kitgut Quartet (ce terme, "kitgut strings", se rapporte aux instruments jouant sur cordes en boyaux), qui réunit quatre solistes hors normes, chacun étant membre des plus fameuses formations européennes sur instruments d'époque. Ce premier enregistrement consacré à Haydn et l'Angleterre (Purcell, Locke, Blow) interroge les origines du quatuor à cordes autour de joyaux finement choisis. Un voyage dans le temps pas exempt de surprises !.
