Sa rencontre avec Jeff Mills a été une révélation car il lui a transmis la passion des platines. Depuis la sortie de son premier album Archive 1 en 1996, Dave est devenu une icône du mouvement. la fois DJ et producteur, il a également remixé des titres pour Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, DJ Hell, Terence Fixmer, Mirwais, Leftfield et Moby.
