Résumé : Voici l'enregistrement complet des concerts donnés par le musicien américain avec Kenny Barron avant sa disparition le 06 Juin 1991. En compagnie du pianiste il renouvelle une expérience de dialogue qui avait déjà porté ses fruits en 1975 avec Jimmy Rowles. Il faut pour cela un compagnon non seulement attentif mais attentionné. Le jeune frère du saxophoniste ténor, Bill Barron, remplit à merveille cette fonction et même plus. Sensible, vif, pertinent il appartient à cette lignée prestigieuse de soliste et accompagnateur que furent Earl Hines, Hank Jones ou Tommy Flanagan pour n'en citer que quelques un.
