Le musicien stéphanois revisite ici 15 chansons de son répertoire avec un nouvel éclairage sobre, apaisé et épuré. Acoustique donc dans sa conception et l'utilisation d'instruments organiques, chauds et boisés : guitares acoustiques, contrebasse, une batterie minimaliste, piano et harmonium essentiellement, quelques touches de cordes sur certains titres, glockenspiel, celesta, solina, mellotron, mandoline ou melodica pour le decorum.
