Résumé Si Vijay avait joué auparavant avec Wadada dans le Golden Quartet de Smith, cet album est le premier témoignage de leur travail en duo, produit par Manfred Eicher aux studios Avatar à New York en octobre 2015. L'envoûtante suite éponyme qui en constitue la pièce centrale est dédiée à Nasreen Mohamedi (1937-1990), l'artiste indien innovateur dont l'imagerie à caractère improvisé évoque des rythmes distraits. Trompette et piano interagissent ici avec une sensibilité créatrice relative au son, à la texture et à l'espace.
