Résumé Le cinquième album sombre et envoûtant de la californienne, (le titre est issu d'une phrase inaugurale du second roman de Cormac Mc Carthy, Outer dark) marque un certain retour aux fondamentaux qui ont défini le son et l'univers de la musicienne. Son chant d'une beauté éthérée et hypnotique redevient l'instrument premier de son écriture : une ombre magnifique et apaisante.
