Résumé Le premier album live solo et unplugged enregistré en 1992 propose une orchestration dépouillée qui insuffle une énergie nouvelle aux compositions, célébrant ainsi tout le talent de John Cale. Tous les grands moments de sa discographie y sont évoqués : de Paris 1919 à Words for the dying en passant par Wrong way up et Songs for Drella. Parfois considéré comme son meilleur album, il est en effet la parfaite introduction à sa discographie. Inclus la célèbre reprise du Hallelujah de Leonard Cohen, dont les arrangements influencèrent largement la version de Jeff Buckley.
