Le jeune franco-canadien de 23 ans se fait remarquer à la sortie de son premier EP, Sorry eyes, paru en octobre 2016. Le public découvre alors ses talents de songwriter inspiré par Nick Drake, Elliot Smith ou encore Dylan, incarné par une fraîcheur, une voix et un charisme magnétique. Les Eleven songs qui composent le premier album d'Aliocha sont autant de classiques instantanés : de la ballade d'introduction The start à l'entêtant Sarah, en passant par l'imparable Crystal plane, jusqu'à la chanson quasi acoustique Flash in the pan qui clôture l'album, touchante de sincérité.
