Résumé Enregistré à Dublin et Tokyo, produit par Mike Scott, c'est le disque le plus expérimental des Waterboys jusqu'à maintenant. On retrouve la patte très fine de Mike Scott dans les paroles des 23 titres, avec des échos de R&B classique, de country, de soul et de funk, le tout étayé par des rythmes et une production hip-hop des plus modernes. Trey Pollard, de Spacebomb Collective, a arrangé et dirigé la section des cuivres et des instruments à cordes. En parlant de l'album, Mike Scott déclare : "Out of all this blue, c'est 2/3 d'amour et de romance, 1/3 d'anecdotes et de réflexions".
