Résumé Ce disque a été une étape importante pour Van Morrison. Après une période passée à peaufiner des ballades romantiques qui rencontrèrent un succès populaire, Van se sentait à nouveau attiré par le style rhythm'n'blues, teinté de jazz qui avait baigné ses premières oeuvres. Dans cette optique, Van s'entoura d'un nouveau groupe avec des pointures comme le saxophoniste Pee Wee Ellis, Georgie Fame et le bassiste Alec Dankworth. Cette édition Deluxe comprend l'album original ainsi que deux disques aditionnels de morceaux rares et inédits, dont des B-sides, des outtakes et des duos avec John Lee Hooker, Carl Perkins et B.B King. A noter également la sortie officielle pour la première fois de sa performance mémorable en live à Montreux en 1997. Morrison au sommet de son art, revisite ses grands hits et l'album The Healing Game, ainsi que des reprises de Ray Charles, Tony Bennett et Sly and The Family Stone !.
