Résumé : C'est son neuvième album studio depuis sa séparation avec Creedence Clearwater Revival. Mixé par Bob Clearmountain, il a été enregistré à Los Angeles et Nashville à l'exception de Proud Mary, enregistré à la Nouvelle Orléans avec Allen Toussaint et le Rebirth Brass Band. Fortunate son a été enregistré avec les Foo Fighters dans le studio de Dave Grohl en Californie, utilisant la console de mixage légendaires du studio Sound City.
