Résumé Ce double album est consacré à la rencontre singulière entre musiciens et boxeurs afro-américains qui portèrent avec punch les aspirations de leur peuple. Sélectionnés par Monique Pouget et Jean Buzelin dans le répertoire dédié à la passion de la boxe, voici des morceaux emblématiques qui évoquent toute l'admiration pour les champions et proposent parfois des collaborations inattendues avec les héros du ring. De plus, la sélection rend hommage à d'ex-boxeurs qui ont raccroché leurs gants pour vibrer corps et âme, avec talent, dans la voie du blues et du jazz.
